Report history
Can't identify when in between turns the white marble disappears. Some players can still see it and others can tell it has disappeared. It's gone by the next turn.
In game Potion Explosion #290642574 then the ball at the end of my turn looks like it's in my flask, but then ask the opponent's turn happens it started drifiting on the screen and then when I refreshed it was gone.
As well, even though the professor's in play are Antiqua and Shi Zan , the game log when I used the Antiqua ability referred to me getting a marble from Overwhelma:
These are the entries related to my using Antiqua ThriftyMind:
BeableDoggos ends their turn
BeableDoggos moves Ghost Ectoplasm to their pool
BeableDoggos swaps an Ingredient with the Ghastly Cauldron (OVERWHILMA EXPLOSIWA)
I used professor Thrifty two times in the same game---
each time it put the Ghost Ectoplasm in my pool, and then it disappeared...
issue not resolved by a refresh
Turn #98 AND Turn #199
I exchanged a marble from my pool with one from the cauldron. The wild marble didn't go into my pool; it hovered around my playing area. So I reloaded my browser, and the marble had gone into the dispenser.
I'm running Chrome, Version 104.0.5112.81 (Official Build) (64-bit)
EACH TIME I use skill of Anique ThriftyMind professor. I get the white ball from the cauldron and I see the ball in my spare. But when it's my turn after, I can't use this ball. When I try F5, the white ball disapears from my spare and goes directly in the dispensor, without I can use it.
It is the same thing for other players. Even they have a potion for to steal my white ball, they cannot steal it and when they try F5, they can't see ball more.
I tried to recreate it without the 6th student expansion; same thing happened. It happened on Sleepyem's turn.
I watched it sit there throughout the turn but when they tried to use it it said they didn't own it, after refreshing it was gone. And appeared on my turn in the dispenser
Move #200 or so (happens between turns)
Did the replacement. At some point during the opponent's turn, the replaced marble leaves the fill area and goes back into play, I believe into the moving column but it was hard to tell. Game crashed and had to be refreshed when it happened.
Table 299858099
The replay functionality doesn't seem to work, but this is the spot in the log that I made the swap:

Since we are playing turn-based, I came back when it was my turn and the swapped white marble was gone. My opponent confirmed he did not steal it and I should go ahead and report it.
- F5 --> marble vanishes or is put back to dispenser
- yes, twice in this game
- using Firefox 105.0.1
The white ball is floating outside the reserve, then disappear...

At the end of my previous turn I claimed a white marble via Antiqua. At the start of my next turn (move 115) I noticed the marble wasn't in my pool.
I checked the game log. It shows me claiming a white marble. It does not show my opponent taking the marble.

You can search for "OVERWHILMA EXPLOSIWA" to find the move numbers in the replay, because Antiqua's power is also labeled wrong in the log (Overwhilma wasn't in either game).
The white ball was floating above the dispenser and suddenly disappeared.
It says: ~"Hardin2000 swaps an Ingredient with the Ghastly Cauldron (OVERWHILMA EXPLOSIWA)". So where is my white marble??? It vanished.

I had 2 red and one yellow marbles, and obviously I knew the bug, and because i don't need the red marbles, to fill my potions, i intentionally swaped with gosthly cauldron, to get the extra point, (We should always win 1 point when we swap or get some marble from the cauldron)
But... Sometimes we loose not only the marble but the extra point. 2 Bugs in one.
At the end of my first potion-making turn, I invoked Professor Thriftymind, trading one black marble to the caldron for one white one. The white one disappeared from my pool and turned up in the slide, apparently during Davilon's potion-making turn from the replay (which also left some scattered marbles on the board, but those disappeared on reload) though Davilon's moves should not have altered my pool. (The black marble remained in the cauldron.)
I invoked Professor Thriftymind again at the end of my second potion-making turn, and will report back on whether that happens again.
It seems like the selected marbles are being sent to the slide instead of the player's pool, in the game's internal logic, and the graphics aren't matching. (Thats not the only way the marble animations glitch, but the only one I've seen so far where reloading the page doesn't set them back where they belong.)
same problem, white marble wasn't in my pool as thought by the game, after refreshing it was gone.
Move #145
Progression 40%

I just finished my turn. By the game moves, you can see I took a white marble. After coming back to the table right after I completed my move, I no longer have the marble in my pool.
Thank you.
Also, worth noting that when I went back through turn history to give you an example of a move number, move #69 says I used Overwhelma, but she was not one of the two professors in the game. Pretty sure I was using Antiqua for that one and the bug took place. Maybe has something to do with identity/functionality of professors? Also, instead of replaying from that point, the replay essentially froze with the marbles scattered all across the screen, not in the places they has been locked into.
I love playing the game on here, but definitely feels like it needs work done on it.
Move #197
For an example. Definitely stinks when it happens.
Move #15
Turn history says I used Overwhilma. She's not in the game. Might be a problem with how it's registering professors.
and -1 point with "Réprimande (GÉDÉON FÉATENSION)" too, that's hard !
When replaying the game, we see the white marbel going away...
This is my 5th table with this bug
move id ??
I used professor "antiqua thriftymind", move history mentions "OVERWHILMA EXPLOSIWA".
White marble appears somewhere on the screen, after F5 it ends up in the dispenser.
First time I performed this action, won't try again.

in one of the first few turns....
Occurred several times. First occurrence is move #26. It appears to happen every time Antiqua is used, regardless of context.
For reference, what's supposed to occur is that when one of the ingredients is swapped with the cauldron, the white marble is supposed to be put into the player's flask/ingredient pool (for them to use on the next turn). This happens visually, but attempting to use the marble gives an error message (I forget the exact phrasing, but it's something like "You don't own that marble"). It appears that the game's code actually sends the white marble to the dispenser, since that's where it ends up after I refresh.
I (moonie1077) was able to leverage the professor twice during our first two turns. One interesting thing my partner called out is that the log refers to OVERWHILMA EXPLOSIWA while the professor in play is actually ANTIQUA THRIFTYMIND. I believe this issue occurs every time.
Add something to this report
- Another table ID / move ID
- Did F5 solve the problem?
- Did the problem appears several time? Everytime? Randomly?
