Rules: a rule of the game has not been respected
Detailed description
• Which part of the rules was not respected by the BGA adaptation
Information that should only be available at step 9 of the setup is already visible during step 5 of the setup.
Furthermore, the rules say the first player should chose the values of their dice first. I can imagine that for the online implementation this would be done simultaneously in secret, but then all dice should be invisible while making this choice.• Is the rules violation visible on game replay? If yes, at which move number?
At move 2 of the linked game, Sytske can chose an extra specialist or department. At that point the dice of Malvolio are already visible.
From Malvolio's point of view, the dice of Sytske are not visible.• What is your browser?

14. Jul 2021 20:19 • After further investigation, I think the problem is that the dice as shown as soon as the player choses values for them, even when other players are not done with their choice.

18. Jul 2021 12:11 • Well, I'm totally agree with you that this is a rule violation, but I have the following choices :
- Implement like the rules says : first player picks 3 dice, chooses 3/4/5 (auto-choose if all 3 has the same color), then second player till the last player
- Implement like you said : everybody has their dice in secret, then dice are revealed once everybody has finished. But in this case, last player may complain that he cannot see the first player dice.
- Stay as it is, because it doesn't give a advantage (or really minor).
I think, if I have to change something, it's better to implement like the rules says.
But in fact, I've implemented this way for the following reasons :
- I've always done like that in real game :) : all player pick their dice during setup and the second doesn't wait for the first one to place dice
- I think it's better on BGA to let players choose simultaneously
- The first turn order (before ambulance choices) is really arbitrary
- Implement like the rules says : first player picks 3 dice, chooses 3/4/5 (auto-choose if all 3 has the same color), then second player till the last player
