Detailed description
• Please explain your suggestion precisely and concisely so that it's as easy as possible to understand what you mean.
This is related to but distinct from #14590.
When a player passes, ending their *hand*, a message should appear either in a popup or written in their palette or something, telling them that the game is not over until someone has won two hands, and that their next hand will be dealt out when the current one ends.• What is your browser?

As annoying as it was, I immediately understood why: the first time I played, I too thought the game was effectively over for me; I kept watching after the first hand just to learn and was surprised when the next hand was dealt out.
Basically, in the current design it's easy and almost encouraged for relatively new players to leave when their hand ends even if there are more hands to be played, and it's a *huge* drag for everyone else when that happens. The requested change might go a long way to mitigating this problem.
