I tried to choose 7 (4+2 plus my roll addition +1) as my roll. The game says "Loading game log history 0%" then it fails to do anything. It returns me to my choice of selecting 7 again.

When I try to select 7 as my roll again, I get "Unable to contact the server. Are you connected to the internet?" or "Unknown network error 503"

It seems that the game is experiencing some error on the server it's saved on. The game log is missing completely.
