#162266: "Users can't proceed in the tutorial if it requires them to select multiple items and confirm"
What is this report about?
What happened ? Please select from below
Something didn't function correctly while using the website (not during a game)
Detailed description
• Please copy/paste the error message you see on your screen, if any.
BGA displays this error even though the user does everything correctly:
"You must play the move indicated in the tutorial"• Please explains what you wanted to do, what you do and what happened
When a tutorial requires the user to select a few items and confirm, the user is unable complete this step UNLESS they manage to select the items IN THE EXACT SAME ORDER as in the replay, which is nearly impossible.
I created an example here:
boardgamearena.com/archive/replay/250319-1400/?table=648031796&player=88656919&comments=88656919;&goto=16
Users should be able to complete this step by selecting the required elements IN ANY ORDER.• What is your browser?
Google Chrome v134

23. Mar 2025 11:05 • I'd expect this to be game specific (even if it's widespread because it'd require code whose likely only use would be this) and not platform wide, anyway I'd say just make the player do these in the right order and move on.

My suggestion is to make a screenshot and draw on it to tell the player what to do. (remember not to write text on the picture since it cannot translate to other language).
If it is too long, you may split them into different move and the player may click "continue" to the next move.
