The rulebook says, [in games using the private objective module] "Each player should choose one of the two private objective cards dealt to them and return the other card to the box. Once all players have chosen one private objective, then neighbor objectives can be dealt."
This way, the players can't use information from the public objectives to help them choose between their two private objectives. But currently, BGA does this in the opposite order: public objectives are revealed, and then the players are asked to choose their private objectives. This gives players extra information. -
